Astrid Vagner Thomsen (1999) an interdisciplinary designer from Denmark, invites you to a room where there is space for everyone, it’s a room full of fun, sex and gender entanglements. In here, objects that you thought you had a clear perception of, have suddenly changed for the uncanny.
Intrigued by the human intuition behind mythological beliefs, she aims to reclaim the creativity and freedom that was lost, when suddenly there was a scientific explanation to everything, and our worlds became white, plain and boring. With an attention to detail and a wide repertoire of material knowledge and understanding, she wants to challenge the rules of human interaction and expression in objects, for more sustainable relations.
